
Ms. Shusmita Kumari
Shusmita Kumari is an Assistant Professor of Law with academic experience in Intellectual Property Rights, Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Arbitration Law, and Company Law.
Previously she has been associated with Kristu Jayanti Deemed to be University as an Assistant Professor of Law and has previously served as an Assistant Professor at SNBP Law College, Pune, and as a Visiting Lecturer at Balaji Law College and SNBP Law College, Pune.
She holds an LL.M. in Business Law from ILS Law School, Pune, with Distinction (9.38 CGPA) and a BBA.LL.B. (Hons.) from Amity Law School, Noida, with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from NIRMA University, with her research focusing on Unconventional Trademarks with Special Reference to India.
Her research contributions include publications in UGC-CARE Group I journals on topics such as Trade Dress, Digital Transformation of Law, Child Marriage Laws, and Copyright in Memes. She has also presented research papers on Human Germline Editing and Patent Law and contemporary issues concerning Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Rights.
She has been actively involved in organizing and coordinating national-level mediation competitions, academic seminars, conferences, constitutional literacy programmes, and student-development initiatives. She has also served as a resource person, guest lecturer, and moot court judge and has successfully completed multiple Faculty Development Programmes in the areas of IPR, Biotechnology, Health Laws, Innovation, and emerging legal challenges.
