Adv. Dr. Gita Kasturi
Adv. Dr. Gita Kasturi is an Adjunct Faculty member practicing Law at Bombay High Court with a strong passion for teaching. She has taught courses in Human Rights and Environmental Law at various law colleges in Mumbai and has developed expertise in Civil Law, Environmental Law, Corporate Law, Matrimonial Law, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & Trademark Law, and Co-operative Law.
Dr. Kasturi holds a degree in Zoology and earned a Doctorate in Alternative Medicine and Naturopathy. She also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights from the University of Mumbai. As the former Vice President of the International Human Rights Foundation, she organized numerous human rights awareness programs across India and has made significant contributions to the literature on human rights law, including editing articles and books.
She pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources in Canada and has served on the legal panels for the India Government Mint (Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited), the Children Film Society of India (CFSI), and other quasi-governmental bodies. Currently, she is the Managing Partner at G Kasturi & Co. in Mumbai and played a key role in drafting the Land Allotment policy for prominent temples with CIDCO. Additionally, Dr. Kasturi has completed Post-Doctoral Research on the Seven Hills of Tirumala and Kundalini.
